Friends' Central School - Philadelphia, PA
FannieCox Centerfor Science, Math and Technology - Completed 2003
The Friends' Central School was established in 1845 as a coeducational school for pre-kindergarten through twelfth grades. Set into the grade, the building’s two wings are organized around Science, Mathematics and Technology. The program includes 7 teaching laboratories; a technology classroom; a greenhouse; a reading and study room; a 50-seat raked lecture hall, and a 3 story lobby. An outdoor classroom was also developed in collaboration with a local artist and features a sandblasted, self-draining map of the regional River Basin, complete with local flora and fauna.
